What is asynchronous participation?Â
Instead of attending live classes, you'll watch the sessions recording during the same week. You’ll receive the same homework and materials, and take part in all the tests just like our regular students.Â
Fee for asynchronous attendance: $330 + $60 for Beast Academy 1 year access
Note: No refunds will be provided for students who switch from live in-person or online classes to asynchronous classes after the course has begun.
This course is an exhilarating journey through the vast landscape of mathematics, combining the innovative Beast Academy curriculum with a comprehensive exploration of key topics. 1. 3D Solids Geometry: Enter the captivating world of three-dimensional solids, exploring their properties, sides, edges, vertices, surface area, and volume. From cubes to cylinders, pyramids to prisms, students will investigate the characteristics of 3D shapes through hands-on explorations and interactive investigations.
2. Integers: Delve into the realm of integers, mastering operations, absolute value, and ordering. Students will develop a deep understanding of positive and negative numbers, apply integer operations in various contexts, and solve real-world problems involving integers.
3. Expressions & Equations: Explore algebraic expressions, equations, and inequalities, learning to manipulate symbols and solve equations. Students will develop fluency in evaluating expressions, simplifying equations, and solving multi-step problems using algebraic reasoning.
4. Statistics: Dive into the world of data analysis and statistics, learning to interpret data, calculate measures of central tendency, and analyze distributions. Students will explore graphical representations, understand concepts such as mean, median, and mode, and apply statistical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions from data sets.
5. Factors & Multiples: Investigate the properties of factors and multiples, exploring their relationships and applications. Students will learn to identify factors and multiples, find common factors and least common multiples, and use these concepts to solve problems involving divisibility and factorization.
6. Fractions: Deepen understanding of fractions, including operations, equivalence, and comparisons. Through hands-on activities and visual representations, students will develop fluency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, as well as converting between fractions and decimals.
7. Sequences: Explore patterns, sequences, and series, uncovering the underlying mathematical structures. Students will identify arithmetic and geometric sequences, analyze their properties, and extend patterns to predict future terms.
8. Ratios & Rates: Investigate ratios, proportions, and rates, understanding their applications in various contexts. Students will learn to represent ratios, solve proportion problems, and apply their understanding of rates to solve real-world problems involving proportional relationships.
9. Decimals: Master decimal arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students will develop fluency in decimal operations, understand decimal place value, and apply decimals in practical situations such as measurement and computation.
10. Percent: Explore the concept of percent, including conversions, applications, and problem-solving strategies. Students will learn to represent percents, calculate percentages of quantities, and solve problems involving discounts, taxes, and percent increase or decrease.
